Membership Options

Regular Membership is available to anyone who has graduated from an accredited college of veterinary medicine or school of veterinary medicine (or the equivalency). Regular Members are voting members of the MVMA. Annual Regular Membership dues are $330 per year. 

Vet Tech Membership is available to anyone who has graduated from an accredited program in veterinary technology or veterinary nursing. Vet Tech Members are voting members of the MVMA. Annual Vet Tech Member dues are $83.

Student Membership is any student enrolled full-time in an accredited college of veterinary medicine, or an accredited veterinary technology or veterinary nursing program. Student Members are voting members of the MVMA. Annual Student Member dues are $16.50

Recent Graduate Membership is available to any veterinarian who graduated from an accredited program during the previous 48 months from the time of membership application. Recent Graduate Membership will automatically progress to Regular Membership at the end of the 48-month period after graduation. Recent Graduate Members are voting members of the MVMA. Annual Recent Grad Member dues are as follows:

yr 1 = $0 | yr 2 = $83 | yr 3 = $165 | yr 4 = $248.

Post DVM Edu Membership is available to any veterinarian who is pursuing residency, PhD, fellowship, or other full-time post-doc education program in a veterinary medicine field, limited to 48 months of membership. Post DVM Education Membership will automatically progress to Regular Membership at the end of the 48-month period. Post DVM Edu Members are voting members of the MVMA. Annual Post DVM Edu Member dues are $165.

Organizational Membership is open to all organizations employing at least one veterinarian. The membership includes all employees of that organization, including non-veterinarians. Employees shall be afforded the same rights and privileges as the membership class for which they would otherwise be eligible, if applicable. Only employees of the organization who would otherwise be eligible for full membership shall be allowed to attain Life Membership. Organizational Member dues are based on the # of DVMs in the organization, starting at $438 for an organization with 1 DVM.

Allied Membership is open to any individual who provides products or services to the veterinary industry. Allied Members do not vote. Annual Allied Member dues are $365.

Other Membership (formerly Associate Membership) is available to any individual associated with veterinary medicine but not actively practicing or otherwise earning income from veterinary medicine. Other Members are non-voting members of the MVMA. Annual Other Membership dues are $165 per year.
