• Student Membership – For students enrolled full-time in accredited veterinary medicine or veterinary technology/veterinary nursing program.

• Recent Graduate Membership – For veterinarians within their first 48 months after graduation from an accredited program.

• Veterinary Technician Membership – For graduates of accredited veterinary technology or veterinary nursing programs.

• Post-DVM Education Membership – For veterinarians pursuing residencies, PhD programs, fellowships, or other post-doctoral training.

• Regular Membership – For veterinarians who have graduated from an accredited college or school of veterinary medicine.

• Organizational Membership – Designed for organizations employing at least one veterinarian and extending benefits to all the employees of the organization.

• Allied Membership – For individuals providing products or services to the veterinary industry.

• Other Membership - For any individual associated with veterinary medicine but not actively practicing or otherwise earning income from veterinary medicine.

Life Membership honors veterinarians who have dedicated decades to the profession and the association. Life Membership shall be available to any veterinarian who is retired or age 72 or older and has completed thirty-five (35) continuous years of MVMA membership with at least thirty (30) of those years as a Regular Member. Life membership is bestowed once a member qualifies.
