Ready to Lead? Nominate yourself or a colleague
Nominations are for seats/districts according to the new district map.
Call for Nominations
Nominations are now open for two seats on the MVMA Board of Directors. Consider nominating yourself or a colleague. Seats for District 8 and an LVT are open. See the new district map here. Your district is based on your address of record, i.e. where you get mail from MVMA. Any member in good standing may nominate any other member in good standing for any of the open seats. You will need the following information: who is doing the nominating, who is being nominated, and background on the nominee. Nominees for District 8 must be a Regular member of MVMA. Nominees for the LVT Director position must be a licensed veterinary technician and an LVT member of MVMA.
Nominations are also being accepted for the 2nd Vice President position. Nominees must be currently serving or have served on the Board in the last three years.
About the Process
Once nominations close on October 17th, the Leadership Development Committee will review all nominations and determine eligibility and suitability of each candidate. If more than 1 candidate is approved by the LDC, the district will have the opportunity to vote for their representative, and LVTs will have the opportunity to vote for their LVT Director. If only 1 candidate is approved, that person automatically gets seated.
Nominees for 2nd Vice President will be called to give a presentation at the winter board meeting and the current Board of Directors will vote on the nominees.
